Background

Bob and Sue Hunter decided to sell their turn-of-the-century, Victorian couch. They were considering several selling methods, but all had limitations. Then, Bob had an idea. Their company, Stork Avenue, sellers of birth announcements, allows its customers to easily upload their new baby's pictures, with captions, creating family web pages. What if they created an Internet company that allowed advertisers to quickly and very inexpensively create web pages to promote items they wish to sell online?

Great idea! But, there was still a catch. How could the advertisers attract potential buyers to their web pages? The answer: Use printed classified and display ads in local newspapers and flyer-type publications to promote the online ad.

Co-founder Merv Johnson, along with several programmers from around the world, re-engineered the Company's systems and created new back-office solutions that allow advertisers to instantly and easily sign up and create descriptions and upload pictures of items to sell online. They then developed sign-up systems for newspapers that connects them with AddaPix.com and allows them to retrieve unique AddaPix.com ad numbers to be included in their advertisers' printed ads.

AddaPix.com is the first and only nationwide service that allows advertisers to promote items on the Internet, for sale or auction in their hometown, using an ad in their local newspaper.

How Sellers Work with AddaPix.com

How Buyers Find an AddaPix.com Ad

There are two ways in which buyers can find items for sale on AddaPix.com:

1. They can type in the AddaPix.com ad number  (e.g. - AddaPix.com/16575) directly in their
    Internet browser's URL address line. They will be taken directly to the online ad.
2. Buyers can go to AddaPix.com and type the online ad number in the Find An Ad look-up and
    will be taken to the online ad.

How Publishers Sign Up

To protect our publishers and advertisers, AddaPix.com thoroughly checks and verifies publishers' applications. The Company also utilizes highly secure encryption methods to safeguard online transactions. CLICK HERE to go to the Publishers' sign up page.

To apply to become a participating publisher, a newspaper must complete an application CLICK HERE on AddaPix.com and send the following to the Company:

• a current copy of the newspaper(s) they wish to enroll
  
• a notarized letter, signed by a person who is authorized to represent the publication, which also can coordinate the Internet link and payment processes between the publication and AddaPix.com.
  
• a valid email address and phone number
  
• the publisher's name and phone number, and the newspaper's Federal Employee Identification number
  
  

AddaPix.com will review all applications for this payment plan and reserves the right to deny participation to unqualified applicants.

Once they have applied and qualified to be participants, they are provided with selling tools (including ads promoting the service to be placed in their publication) and other information. They also are given online interfaces that allow their sales representatives to instantly retrieve each unique AddaPix.com ad number with one touch.

How Publishers Get Paid

There are two ways to sign up as an AddaPix.com Publisher:

1. Allow AddaPix.com to collect the $7.50 for your customers' three-week online accounts and send $5.00 to you for every activated account, on a regular payment schedule. All outstanding payments are certifiable and trackable. If you choose this method, please CLICK HERE.

2. You can collect the $7.50 from your customers when they contact you to place an ad. If you choose this method, for Security Purposes, we will require that you submit the following:

• a current copy of the newspaper(s) you wish to enroll
• a valid email address and phone number
• your publisher or owner's name, phone number and email address, and
• your newspaper's Federal Employee Identification number

These materials must be sent to:

Your materials will be immediately reviewed and an email will be sent to the contact person/publisher/owner with the approval and temporary username and password. Please return to AddaPix.com and go to the Publisher Sign-in page.

You also will receive, via email, your sign-up confirmation and your temporary username and password.

To Login, CLICK on the Publisher’s Home ‘button’ on the AddaPix.com home page and enter your temporary username and password and Sign-in. You will be taken to your "home page," where you will be able to confirm and edit your account information. This is the location where you also will see customer ad listings, outstanding payables, etc.

AddaPix.com's Privacy Policy

The Company's Privacy Policy is VERY simple. AddaPix.com will NEVER share advertisers' personal information with any other company.

Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

AddaPix.com offers a service that allows customers to post ads online and promote the ads in newspapers' classified sections. AddaPix.com does not participate in any classified ad transactions. AddaPix.com does not control or screen users who may buy, sell or authenticate items for sale.

Users of this service should be aware that buyers and sellers are solely responsible for the transaction and must resolve any disputes that may arise from these transactions. Buyers and sellers also are responsible for all applicable taxes.

The Company may update AddaPix.com's online classified ad service from time to time, without notice to its advertisers or publishers. As users of this service, they are subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services, which may be posted from time to time. Of particular note is the prohibition of the posting of all offensive materials, including pictures and text. All such materials will be deleted immediately.

Advertisers' Obligations and Conduct

Advertisers understand that all text and photographs posted by them are their responsibility. This means that advertisers - not AddaPix.com - are entirely responsible for all Content that they post via the Service. AddaPix.com does not control the material posted on its site and, therefore, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of its content.

AddaPix.com will not be liable for any errors or omissions or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the posted material. You also understand that is possible that you may be exposed to offensive material.

Advertisers agree that they will not:

 a. Post any material that is generally objectionable, unlawful, hateful, threatening, vulgar, obscene or libelous

 b. Harm adults or minors in any way or invade another's privacy

 c. Impersonate any person or entity

 e. Post material that you do not own or do not have permission to post

 f. Post Spam, Junk Mail, Viruses, etc.

Advertisers also agree that AddaPix.com has the right (but not the obligation) to refuse or delete any material that the Company honestly believes to be objectionable. Advertisers agree that they must evaluate and bear all risks associated with their posting of any material, including its accuracy.

Copyright Statement

AddaPix.com respects other's intellectual property and the Company asks the same of its users. AddaPix.com may, in appropriate instances and at its discretion, terminate the accounts of users who may be infringing the intellectual property rights of others.

If and advertiser believes that their work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement or their intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, the must provide AddaPix.com with the following:

1. The signature (electronic or physical) of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other intellectual property interest
2. A description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you believe has been infringed upon
3. The work's location on AddaPix.com's site
4. The person's email address
5. The person's statement that the disputed use is not authorized
6. The person's statement that the above information is accurate and that you are the owner or legal representative of the owner of the copyright or intellectual property
7. Claims must be submitted to trademark@AddaPix.com

Advertisers' User Names and Passwords

When advertisers create accounts, they will include the creation of a user names and a passwords. Advertisers must maintain the confidentiality of the user names and passwords and are responsible for all account activities. If advertisers believe their accounts are being improperly used, they agree to notify AddaPix.com immediately.

No Service Resale

Advertisers and publishers agree not to copy or exploit, for any commercial purposes, any portion of the AddaPix.com website or services.
